HEIDI SCHULMAN GREENWALD, PRINCIPAL

My academic life was focused on image -- art history, photography, Chinese language -- but my heart has always been driven by words.

I began my writing career overseas as a writer for Free China Review, a monthly publication for the expatriate community living in Taipei, Taiwan. Upon returning to the US, I joined Newsweek as a researcher-reporter. I transitioned into web content (writing and editing) and corporate communications in Silicon Valley, in 1994.

I have worked in employee communications, management communications, and executive communications doing anything and everything  to get the job done. I have worked at companies of all sizes and stages of development from start-ups, to established companies, to fast-growing companies that have become mainstays of the economy.

I graduated Yale University in 1990.

I live and work in Portland, OR with my husband and our two children. When not writing, I can be found working in my native garden and practicing yoga.
